The People Behind Woodland Funding
Paul Castagna
Mr. Castagna is the founder of Woodland Funding and concentrates on loan origination, underwriting, and investor relations.
Before founding Woodland Funding, Mr. Castagna served as the National Accounts Director at Rockhall Funding, overseeing HUD and USDA multifamily and healthcare loan origination.
Prior to working at Rockhall Funding, Mr. Castagna originated debt for Aetna Capital and Marcus & Millichap.
Mr. Castagna’s practice area is multifamily ground-up construction and refinancing, low-income housing tax credits, and investment properties with a little hair on them.
Paul Saint-Pierre
Mr. Saint-Pierre is the director of Woodland Funding. His professional experience features a consistent theme of alternative investment strategies, including:
- Strategic investment advisory services;
- Investment analysis, placement, and secondary-market transactions of various investment funds; and
- Active principal in the design, creation, and investment management of institutional quality, SEC-registered investment companies, and business development companies and their subsequent launch through retail, registered investment advisors, and mass-affluent investor channels.
He has held many senior executive positions, such as:- Chief financial officer for corporate divisions, investment companies, and business development companies;
- Registered representative of registered investment advisors featuring alternative investment strategies;
- Investment banker for real estate-related businesses in the arrangement of debt and equity capital;
- US REIT sector investment analyst;
- Registered principal of a broker-dealer firm that facilitated secondary-market transactions of securities issued by private equity real estate funds;
- Portfolio manager and research director of a global real estate securities investment program; and
- Principal advisor to institutional investors regarding real estate investment strategies
He attended the University of California, Berkeley’s Graduate School of Business, where he earned a Master’s in Business Administration in 1981. Mr. Saint-Pierre now lives in Winter Park, FL.
